Onion nutrition many health benefits. This is a very tasty and spicy sabji. You call to Bharwan Pyaz, Bhrehue Pyaz. It makes an excellent side dish. I like this sabji. Stuffed onion is an aromatic onion vegetable flavored with dry masala. Stuffed onion is not only very simple to prepare but is also very delicious to eat. It goes very well bajra roti or makki ki roti. Stuffed onion is made from small sized onion. My mother used to cook them really well. Onion is in most people homes, eat with lunch almost every day. I have onion everyday for lunch. So I share with you Stuffed Onion recipe.
- 4-5 Medium size Onions (Pyaz)
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds (Jeera)
- ½ tsp Corianders powder (Dhania powder)
- ½ tbsp Chili powder (Lal mirch powder)
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi powder)
- ½ tsp Garam masala
- Pinch of Asafetida
- 2tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste
Take of the dry skins of onions on tail side make 2 vertical slit, till almost to the bottom. Cut onions from up in 2 slit length-wise each onions such a way that it will not break a part. Keep a side. Take a bowl. Add the coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafetida, salt and mix well. Stuff into the onion slits, heat oil in a pan and a when the oil becomes hot add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Now add the stuffed onion then cover lid & cook about 10 minutes. After 5 minutes very carefully stir well. So prepare your Stuffed Onions serve hot with chapattis.
