Stuffed Tomato Recipe | Tasty Bharwa Tamatar

  • 2 Medium size Potatoes, boiled (Aloo)
  • 3 Medium size Tomatoes, (Tamatar)
  • 2 tbsp Cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tbsp Ginger paste, (Adrak paste)
  • 1 tsp, Garlic paste (lahsun paste)
  • 1/2 tbsp, Green chillies chopped (hari mirchi)
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powders (Haldi powder)
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves (Hara dhania)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil


Wash the tomatoes and dry with cloth. Cut top of tomato like a cap. Check that all the tomatoes rest on their bases, if not cut to thin slice from bottom to balance them. Gently scoop out the centers. Keep a slide the scooped portion. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan add cumin seeds when the seeds start to crackle, Add ginger paste and garlic paste and green chillies and cook for 1 minute. Reduce the heat to low and add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, and mix well, taking care not to burn the spices. Add the mash potato, a cheese and tomatoes scoop portion and mix properly. A cook for 1 minute Add the corianders leaves and mix well. The mixture should be ready when you can smell the aroma.
