Today we make Jeera Allo recipe. This is a sabji. Jeera aloo is so tasty. Its names itself make juices flowing in the mouth and makes one feel hungry. Jeera Aloo is in unique aroma for fried cumin seed. This is easy to make. You can eat this sabji in your fast (vrat). This sabji eat with rajgira poori in your fast. My son like this. Ever imagined that a single ingredient could transform potatoes into an aromatic mouth watering delicacy? This recipe in main ingredients is cumin seeds and potato. Jeera aloo is seems delicious with curd. You can eat with paratha, poori, or naan. So let’s me start how to make Jeera Aloo?
- 250 gms Potatoes (Aloo)
- 1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- ¾ Tbsp chopped Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
- ½ Tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder)
- ¼ Tsp Lemon Juice (Nimbu Ka Ras)
- ½ Tsp Coriander Powder (Dhania Powder)
- Pinch of Garam Masala Powder
- 1 Tbsp Coriander Leaves (Hara Dhania)
- Pinch of Asafetida (Hing)
- 1½ Tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Firstly, wash and boiled the potatoes. Peeled and cut into small cubes. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and asafetida. When crackle the seeds, add chopped green chillies and stir for few seconds. Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and mix well. Add chopped boiled potatoes, salt, lemon juice and mix till the potatoes should be coated with spices and cook 3-4 minutes. Remove the flame. Add coriander leaves and mix well. So prepare your jeera aloo is ready. Serve in serving plate with paratha, poori.
