Traditional Indian dessert made with thickened, strained yogurt and sweetened with sugar. This sweet make in any party or any occasions. Shrikhand is a one of the main desserts in Gujrati and Maharasthrian cuisine. I like shrikhand. I’m going to share this recipe with you all. So let’s see how to make Kesar Shrikhand at home.
- 3 cups Yoghurt (Dahi)
- 3/4 cup Sugar (Chini)
- Few Strands saffron (Kesar)
- ¼ tsp Cardamom powder (Elaichi powder)
- 1 tbsp Warm milk (Doodh)
- ¼ cup Cursed, Almonds (Badam)
Take a clean muslin cloth and take the yogurt in it. Now pour the yogurt over muslin cloth to drain. Tie a knot and hang it so that all the water falls away from the yogurt. Leave it like this for overnight. Will become thick in consistency so ready your yogurt.The saffron in warm milk dissolves. Good color in saffron milk. Take a bowl, bowl in yogurt. Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron milk and beat well until sugar dissolve. Add crushed almonds and mix well. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Serve shrikhand before chill.
