Aloo Paratha Recipe | Stuffed Aloo Paratha

Potato is everyone‘s favorite. Aloo Paratha is very easy and seems to eat very delicious. Aloo Paratha is an extremely popular north Indian dish. Aloo Paratha is very tasty and soft. It goes very well with Rita, Curd, Pickle or any Vegetables. However, you can enjoy it with tea as well in breakfast. Aloo Paratha recipes I want to do are a cook for dinner. This is one of my favorite dish. I remind of Aloo Paratha. This Aloo Paratha can be easily prepared at home as this recipe uses ingredients that are found in every Indian kitchen. This paratha stuffed with spiced potato mixture. This is also one of the recipes that I got from my sister and tried. I tasted great. This is the first time I trying and i liked it very much. This Paratha wraps in aluminum foil and give it in your kids in the lunchbox as a healthy snack. My kid loves this Aloo Paratha very much. Learn how to make Aloo Paratha at home.

For The Dough:

  • 2 cup Wheat Flour (Gehun ka atta)
  • 1tbsp Ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • Water


  • 3 medium sized Potatoes (Aloo)
  • ½ tbsp Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 ½ tsp Red chilli powder (Lal Mirch powder)
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi powder)
  •  1tsp Grren Chili paste (Hari Mirch paste)
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste (Lahsun paste)
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice (Nimbu ka ras)
  • ½ tbsp Coriander leaves (Hara Dhania)
  • 1 tbsp Oil (Tel)
  • Salt to taste


  • Butter


Firstly, In bowl put Wheat flour, Salt, Ghee and mix well. Now knead the dough with water. Place wrapped in cloth for 10 to 12 minutes it now.Boil the potatoes. The potatoes peel and mashed with hand or spoon. Heat oil in pan, add Cumin seeds, when crackle the seeds add Garlic paste, Green chilli paste, Ginger paste and fry it. Add the Turmeric powder, Red chilli powder, Salt to taste stir well.  Add mesh potato and stir continuously until potatoes mashed and coat very well with all of and mix well. Keep a side. Saw a little oil or ghee over the dough by hand. Now prepare a big ball of the dough. Now, wrap the dough in dry flour. Roll out to form a disc size using a rolling pin. Now they prepare the filling in centre of the rolled out dough and seal tightly it together with the tips of your fingers (being careful, without breaking). Now wrap this stuffed dough in dry flour. Gently roll the dough with a rolling pin. Use the flour to sprinkle onto the surface and onto the paratha to ensure that the dough doesn’t stick to the surface or rolling pin. Heat a griddle.  The paratha put on the hot griddle. Apply a little butter on the paratha. Cook till done from both sides without burning the paratha. Apply a little butter on both sides and press with spatula and cook until golden brown spots appear on both sides of paratha. Same ways prepare all Aloo Paratha. Prepare your Aloo Parathas. Transfer to a serving plate and eat with Pickle or Curd, and these can be eaten hot.


Note:- Mash potatoes properly and weed out chunks, if any. This will help to roll them out smoothly.
