I share with you Khaman Dhokala recipe. Khaman dhokla is popular of Gujrat. Khaman dhokla is a traditional Gujrati dish. Khaman dhokla is very soft and spongy. Khaman dhokla is a savory steamed cake made from gram flour (besan). Khaman dhokla Seem exceptionally delicious in eating. Khaman dhokla eaten with chutney and this chutney made in gram flour (besan). This dhokla made in gram flour, nimbu phool, sugar, fruit salt and other ingredients. This dhokla is easy to make and tasty to eat. I like this khaman dhokla. I’m sure this dhokla like you and your family, so sure try to make.
- 250 gm Gram flour (Besan)
- 1 tsp Citric acid (Nimbu ka phool)
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Fruit salt
- Pinch turmeric powder (Haldi powder)
- Salt to taste
For The Tadka:-
- 1 tbsp, Oil (tel)
- 1 tbsp, Mustard seeds (Sarso, rai)
- 1 tbsp, Sesame seeds (Til)
- 2 tbsp, Green chillies (Hari mirch)
- 7 to 8 Curry leaves (Mithe neem ke patte)
- ¼ cup, Water (Pani)
- 1 tbsp, Coriander leaves (Hara dhania)
Take a bowl. Add Gram flour (besan) in bowl. Add nimbu phool, sugar, turmeric powder, salt to taste and mix well. Add water, mix with hand and stirring for 5 to 7 minutes, and make to get a smooth and thick batter. Keep a side for 8 to 10 minutes. Add fruit salt and mix well. Heat a dhokla cooker. Add water in cooker. Greased a plate with oil. Pour prepare the dhokla batter in greased thali and spread the batter. The thali keep in hot cooker, and steam for 20 to 25 minutes. The dhoklas cooked, keep a side and after 5 minutes some water drop in dhoklas. Dhokla cut with knife for like your shape. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds crackle add 1 tbsp sesame seeds, green chillies, curry leaves and sauté well. Add water and boil some time. Pour tadka on the khaman dhokla. Khaman dhokla garnish with coriander leaves. So prepare your khaman dhokla. Khaman dhokla transfer to a serving plate and serve with chutney. Enjoy you and your family with Khaman Dhokala.
