I share with you makki ka dhokla recipe. This is a popular in Rajasthan. Makki dhokla eat with dal fry and it taste in so delicious. You can pour the ghee or sesame oil on top the dhokla. Its taste is so unique and different. This dhokla is a healthy food. This recipe is easy to make. It is looking so unique, like round shape and in center hole. Like a ring looking. So let me start how to make makki ka dhokla (maize dhokla) at home.
- 2 bowl Maize Flour (Makki ka Aata)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped, Green Fenugreek (Hari Methi)
- 2 tbsp crushed, Green piece (Hare Matar)
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- 1 tsp Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
- 1 tbsp Papad Khar
- 2 tbsp Green Chilli Paste (Hari Mirch Paste)
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder (Lal Mirch Powder)
- 2 tbsp finely chopped, Coriander Leaves (Hara Dhania)
- Salt to taste
Firstly, boil the water, put in papad khar and boil it. when bubblin water then remove the flame. Keep a side and close the lid. Now sieve the maize flour. Take a big bowl, put in maize flour, crushed green piece, finely chopped, green fenugreek, cumin seeds, carom seeds, green chilli paste, red chilli powder, coriander leaves, salt and mix well. Add the boil water and mix until you can form stiff dough, very carefully, because water use in hot. Apply oil in your palms and take a small portion dough and flatten it. Put finger in the center of dhoklas and make small hole. Boil water in idali cooker. Grease the Idli mould with oil. Place in prepare dhoklas, close the cooker lid and steam for 15 to 2o minutes on medium flame. Insert a knife to check if dhoklas are ready. If the knife comes out clean, the dhoklas are ready. Switch of the guess. Remove the dhoklas, so look your makki ka dhokla (maize dhokla) is ready transfer to a serving plate and eat with dal fry or sesame oil, ghee.
