- 2 cup Uncooked rice (Chawal)
- Some drops liquid yellow food color
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder (Elaichi powder)
- A few Saffron strands (Kesar)
- 1 small Cinnamon stick (Dalchini)
- 1 tbsp Milk (Doodh)
- ¾ cup Sugar (Chini)
- ½ tbsp Dry Fruits
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- Chopped almond
Firstly, take a bow, add in milk, saffron and mix well and keep a side. Wash and soak rice in water for about 15 to 20 minutes. Drain and keep a side. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. When it’s hot add cinnamon stick and stir then about for a second. Now put the rice and stir and sauté the rice gently for about for a minute, reducing the heat slightly if it begins to catch. Now add water, the food color, sugar, saffron milk and cover the lid and cook for 1 to 2 whistle. Open the lid and add cardamom powder and mix carefully with spoon. So prepare your sweet rice. Transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with chopped almond and eat with curry.
