Lauki Ke Muthiya | Dhoodhi Muthiya Recipe | Gujrati Special Snack Recipe

I share with you Lauki ke Muthiya, Lauki Muthiya is a very tasty and very healthy snack. This is Gujarati Snack. It is very delicious steamed dumplings. This is tea-time snack that sure like you. One thing to remembers while making doothi muthia is that bottle gourd has high water content. This can be made with many veggies, but I have tasted the bottle gourd muthias. I triged this recipe the first time when this comes out very awesome. Today we will learn how to make Lauki Muthiya following this easy recipe.

Ingredients

1 small Bottle gourd (Lauki)

1 cup Wheat flour (Aata)

1 cup Corn flour (Makki ka aata)

1½ tbsp Gram flour (Besan)

1 tbsp, Sesame Seeds (til)

¼ tsp Mustard seeds (Sarso, rai)

Pinch of Asafetida (Hing)

¼ tsp Green chilli paste (Hari mirch paste)

½ tsp Garlic paste (Lahsun paste)

½ tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi powder)

1 tsp Lemon juice (Nimbu ka ras)

2 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped (Hara dhania)

3 tbsp Oil (Tel)

Salt to taste (Namak)

½ tsp Red chilli powder (Lal mirch powder)

Method

Take Bottle Gourd. Peel the skin and grated the bottle gourd. Add wheat flour, corn flour, gram flour. Red chilli powder, turmeric powder, 1 tbsp oil, chili paste garlic paste, coriander leaves, salt to taste and make a sticky dough with water. Apply little oil on your hands and divide the dough into equal portions. Shape each portion into a cylindrical roll. Heat a steams and arrange the rolls on a greased sieve and steam for 30 minutes when it is cool, cut this into small round. Heat oil in a pan and temper with seasam seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves. Now add the cut muthias this tempers. Add lemon juice, some salt and saute on a medium flame for 1-2 minutes. So prepare your crispy and tasty muthias. Serve immediate with sauce. Can you like coconut so you add the grated coconut on muthias.
