Khakhra is a flat and crunchy bread. Khakhara eat with peanuts dry chutney you can spread little ghee top on khakhara and sprinkle dry chutney, wow its taste so so yummy. Khakhara is a Gujrati light snack. I make always large quantity and store in airtight container. When my child is very hungry then he eats khakhara. This is a good for travelling time. Khakhara made in little ingredients. You can make the khakhra in different flavor. This is a delicious breakfast. This khakhara cook in long time, you can add kasoori methi, chaat masala and new flovous. Khakjara is mostly serve with tea. You can eat with curd.
- Cups Wheat flour for daugh (Gehu Ka Aata)
- ½ cup Wheat flour for dusting
- 1 tbsp Gram flour (Besan)
- ½ tbsp Cumin seeds (Jeera)
- 1 tbsp Red chilli powder (Lal mirch powder)
- ½ tsp Asafetida (Hing)
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi powder)
- 2 tbsp Milk (Doodh)
- ½ tsp Lemon juice (Nimbu ka ras)
- ½ tbsp Oil (Tel)
- Salt to taste (Namak)
Take a big bowl. Put in 2 cup wheat flour, gram flour, cumin seeds. red chilli powder, asafoetida, turmeric powder, lemon juice, salt, oil and mix well. Now add milk and mix it. Now add ittle by little water and knead into soft dough. Cover with muslin cloth and rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Divide the dough into equal size bll diry flour and Roll and coat with circle will crolling pin. Heat thin stick griddle ctava and cook on slow flame and press it using cloth and cook till light golden colour both side. same ways preapare all khakjras. cool room tempetrature and store in airtight container.
