I share with you Pav Bhaji recipe. This is a mouthwatering dish. This is a Indian food. This dish is famous for Mumbai in juhu place. I have make pav bhaji at home. Pav bhaji is already available in all food stores, but I like home made pav bhaji. All homemade food is batter then in market. The pav bhaji can be had as a meal during lunch or dinner. I think it’s one of the simple dishes. This pav bhaji tends to be a heavy snack. I have eaten the pav bhaji first time at my friend’s home, and then I am so happy to it. Then I adopt this recipe from my friend’s mother and I try it first time then wow it’s make in so delicious. This bhaji is healthy. This bhaji made in potato, cauliflower, green peas, carrots, french beans and capsicum. You can add more vegetables. Some people add dried peas in the bhaji, but I usually anytime fresh green peas in it. But you can add fresh or dried peas. Bhaji is served with lightly roasted buttered bread. Pav bhaji is so easy to make. I like Mumbai pav bhaji. So let me start how to make easy pav phaji at home?
Pav (Bun) as require
Butter as require
200 gms Potatoes
1/2 cup chopped Carrot (gajar)
1/2 cup Green Peas (hare matar ke dane)
1/4 cup chopped Cauliflower (foolgobi)
1/4 cup chopped French Beans
3/4 cup chopped Tomatoes (Tamatar)
1/4 cup chopped Onion (Pyaz)
1/4 cup chopped Capsicum (Simala Mirch)
3 Tbsp Bhaji masala
1/4 Tbsp Garlic Paste (lahsun Paste)
1/4 Tbsp Ginger Paste (Adarak Paste)
1/4 Tsp Garam Masala Powder
1/4 Tbsp Green Chilli Paste (Hari Mirch Paste)
1 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder (Lal Mirch Powder)
1½ Tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder)
1/4 Tbsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Salt to Taste
Wash all vegetables. Boil the vegetables in pressure cooker without tomato, onion and capsicum. When vegetables are boiled then peel the potatoes and then mash all boil vegetables. But remember just lightly mash, don’t properly mash it. Heat a pan and add cumin seeds, when seeds start to crackle add chopped onion and saute until they are become light brown in colour. Now add garlic paste, ginger paste, green chilli paste and satue until the raw aroma. The raw aroma of the garlic paste disappears. Now add the chopped tomatoes and cook on low flame. Add chopped capsicum and saute it. Now add the red chill powder, pav bhaji masala powder, garam masala powder, amchur powder, turmeric powder and saute the spices for 30 seconds. Now add the mash vegetables and mix properly. Now the spices and vegetables are mix them. Add salt and mix it. Now add water and cook 2-3 minutes. Now mash the bhaji with masher and add lemon juice and cook for more 3-4 minutes. Cook until bhaji in bubbler. Remove the flame, add chopped coriander leaves. Bhaji is reedy.
To prepare pav-
The bun slit in the center of the pav. Hest a griddle and put on one spoon of butter. When the butter is melts then place the cut pavs on melt butter and fry from both sides. Transfer to a serving plate. Prepare bhaji transfer to a bowl. Put in little butter and finely chopped onions. Serve with hot pavs. So look your pav bhaji is ready enjoy it.
