Rava Dhokla Recipe | White Dhokla | Suji Ke Dhokle

I share with you rava dhokla recipe. ti is a very soft and spongs dhokla. Rava dhokla is like a rava idli. Rava dhokla is a good breakfast. Rava dhokla is a Gujrati traditional dish. This dhokla eat with green chutney, tomato sauce. This dhokla made in rava, (suji, semolina). This is a very easy to made and some times in make Rava dhokla knows as white dhokla. So let see how to make Rava dhokla (White dhokla). I use in eno. You can also use soda. You can cook this dhokla on medium flame them they are make in spongy. Rava dhkola is so yummy in taste. You can add andy vegetables in rava dhokla. This dhokla good saurce for traveling time. It is a good for your kid’s lunch box.


 For the batter…..

  •  2 cup Semolina (Rava / Suji)
  • 1½ cups curd (Dahi)
  • 1 tbsp Oil (Tel)
  • 2 tsp Fruit Salt
  • 3/4 cup water (pani)
  • Salt to taste

For the tempering …

  •  1½ Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Seeds (Til)
  • 3/4 Tsp Mustard Seeds (Sarso Ke Dane)
  • 1 Tsp chopped Green Chilli (Hari Mirchi)
  • 3 to 4 Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 Tbsp chopped Coriander Leaves (Hara Dhania)

 Method :-

Take a bowl. Put in the semolina (rava), curd, salt, water and mix well. Remove all lumps and keep a side 10 to 15 minutes. Take a dhokla cooker and put in water and boil it. Greased the dhokla plate with oil. Take a spoon, put in oil and fruit salt mix it and put in the dhokla batter and mix well. Pour the batter into greased plate and place in heat dhokla cooker. Close the lid and steam on high flame for 5 minutes and then 10 minutes steam on medium flame and Insert a knife and check if it comes out clean. If it clean, then it is ready. If not done, then cook more sometimes. Remove the flame. Take out the plate from cooker and let it cool. Cut the dhoklas into equal square pieces and keep a side. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. When seeds start to crackle adds sesame seeds, curry leaves, green chilli and sauté for few seconds. Remove the flame. Pour the tempering on rava dhokla and garnish with coriander leaves. So prepare your rava dhokla (suji dhokla). Serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
